Prayer for the blessing and strengthening of the couple’s union

This Saturday (19), all attention is focused on the wedding of Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle. Just like in 2011, at the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, millions of people will attend the union and happiness of the newest royal couple.

At a time like this, when love is in the air, it is common for many people to think about marriage. Well, be honest with yourself right now and answer what you prefer: going home knowing your partner is there waiting for you or arriving and finding an “empty” home, or even having a lonely life. ? Let’s agree that in this time when many people seek adventures without commitment, knowing that we have a “firm” relationship, the one with whom we make future plans, feel safe and more complete, is at least a blessing.

It’s like I always say: “the human being was not born to live alone”. But please, if you are going to have a relationship with someone, let it be whole and not in pieces. May this be a healthy, loving and sincere relationship. Even after being married or living together, that they continue dating a lot, always remain faithful to the vows of love and, of course, the most important: always be friends and accomplices.

“Lord, make us share life as a true couple, husband and wife; that we know how to give each other the best we have in us, in body and in spirit; that we accept and love each other as we are with riches and limitations we have.

May we grow together, being a path to each other; let us know how to carry each other’s burdens, encouraging each other to always grow in mutual love. Let’s be everything to each other: our best thoughts, best actions, best time and best attention. Let’s find in each other the best company. Lord, may the love we live be the great experience of Your love. May the mutual admiration and attraction grow in us, Lord, to the point of becoming one: in thinking, acting and living together. For this to happen, you may be among us. We will then be eternally in love. Amen.”
