I really like the month of April, its energy and teachings. I always associate it with Christ’s resurrection and the Easter. Good memories of when I was a kid. But in recent years, I really like April 23. And for what reason? Saint Warrior Day. Day of Saint George.

Saint George for me it represents the human being, man and woman, modern. A human being who gets up every day to live, work, undertake, love, create, cry, win and lose. Saint George is the modern personification of the woman and man who every day have to face their dragons and defeat them with their modern weapons: knowledge, love, faith and hope.

Saint George when he faced and defeated the dragon, mounted on his white horse, which represents our will to win, our brute force that we control. He had his sword and spear, weapons he mastered deftly, which would be our skills and knowledge with whatever tool we have in our hands.

The shield of protection Saint George today would be our unshakable faith and hope for better times. And finally, the red cloak or cape that represents the martyrdom of the holy warrior, which for me symbolizes the cape of the modern superhero. Or, the courage to face and overcome challenges, problems and enemies. In short, for me Saint George Guerreiro he is the modern hero and saint who protects everyone and wins everything.

Saint George, brave soldier, who with your spear you killed and conquered the fierce dragon, come to my aid, in the temptations of the devil, in dangers, in difficulties, in afflictions.

I covered myself with your mantle, hiding myself from my enemies, from my persecutors.

Protected by your mantle, I will walk all the ways, I will travel through all the seas, night and day, and my enemies will not see me,

they will not hear me, they will not accompany me.

Under your protection, I will not fall, I will not shed my blood, I will not be lost.
