Prayer to Saint John the Baptist

“O glorious Saint John the Baptist, prophet and precursor of the Most High, firstborn of the grace of Jesus and of the intercession of his holy mother, great before the Lord for the gifts with which you were enriched from your mother’s womb and for the happiness in the fulfillment of the mission received from God , help us to welcome the good news you announced. I want to make my existence a realization of the justice, love, penance and purity that you proclaimed. Grant me the grace to belong entirely to the kingdom foreshadowed by you and which is present among us since the birth of Jesus. Reach me, too, my holy protector, a singular devotion to the Virgin Mary who, driven by charity and the desire to help, rushed to the house of your mother, Saint Isabel, to be blessed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I am sure that with these graces, and loving Jesus and Mary to death, I will be saved and, in heaven, with you and with all the angels and saints, I will love and praise to Jesus and Mary between delights and eternal joys us. Amen.”
