Saint George, the Warrior Saint, is one of the most revered saints of the Catholic Church in Brazil and Europe. He is patron of several countries such as England, Portugal, Bulgaria, Malta, Ethiopia, Greece, Russia, Georgia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Bosnia, Serbia, Herzegovina and the Republic of Macedonia; and from several cities such as Catalonia, Genoa, Ferrara, Arcole, Venice, Haldem, Amersfoort, Newfoundland and Rio de Janeiro, where April 23 is a state holiday in celebration of the Saint.

São Jorge is full of symbology and mysteries. Jorge da Cappadocia was an initiate of the mystery schools and learned that the discipline of a soldier brings forth human virtues, which are used as his vestments, such as the courage symbolized in his spear and sword, the humility symbolized in his knight’s war uniform. , temperance symbolized on his white horse, mastery of passions, trained and educated, responding to all his commands, mastery of himself.

Faith is symbolized in the battle and victory against the dragon that can represent bad and bad things: the human ego, fears, addictions, the envious, demons and people who harm us in our current life.

May we be dressed and armed with the virtues that Jorge teaches us to defeat our enemies.

Saint George, conquering warrior of the dragon, pray for us.

Saint George, brave soldier, who with your spear you killed and defeated the fierce dragon, come to my aid, in the temptations of the devil, in dangers, in difficulties, in afflictions. I covered myself with your mantle, hiding myself from my enemies, from my persecutors. Protected by your Mantle, I will walk all the ways, I will travel through all the seas, night and day, and my enemies will not see me, they will not hear me, they will not accompany me. Under your protection, I will not fall, I will not shed my blood, I will not be lost. Just as the Savior was nine months in the bosom of Our Lady, so I will be well guarded and protected, under your mantle, always having Saint George before me armed with his spear and his shield.

Oh! Glorious Saint George Warrior, I beg you confident that I will be answered, in this difficult time of my life, in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, with Your Sword of Fight, come cut all evil and especially (make the request).
