Will 2022 be a year of challenges or victories?

Exactly one year ago, all the predictions of economists and other wise men said that the year 2021 would be total chaos in the economy. Several “gurus” advised leaving Brazil, as the Apocalypse would pass through here.

We went through the year 2021, full of ups and downs, crises and some uncertainties, but we are all alive. The year was not chaos and the world did not end. The year 2022 has barely arrived and the same gurus and economists make predictions about how 2022 will be even worse than 2021 and about how we will be invaded by ETs. That is, it will be the “End of the World 2 – the Return”.

It’s time for you to decide if 2022 will be a year full of problems or if it will be a year of challenges, which you will overcome without fear.

When we set a goal in life or for the year, whether professional or personal, we know that we will only achieve the success of this endeavor after acting and working hard. If we win, we will be happy. If we don’t win, we will complain a lot about the problems that got in the way of our achievement and that we didn’t know how to solve.

Therein lies the problem. Can we avoid or minimize them? Before answering, think about the paths to follow in pursuit of the goal.

In general, when we draw up plans to achieve a goal, we have two possible paths to walk our final victory: a path without any problems or obstacles, easy to walk, and another path full of problems and obstacles, small or large, that are in the path to be resolved and overcome. If we don’t give up in the face of obstacles, we will win for sure.

But there are a number of errors in these types of thoughts. The first mistake is that there is no perfect path, without problems and obstacles. There will always be obstacles in the way to overcome. It may even be an insignificant pebble, but if it gets inside your shoe, it will be very uncomfortable. Therefore, in every journey of conquest there are stones, but we can always overcome them.

The second mistake is all the time talking and thinking about the problems and obstacles on the way. Talking, thinking and fearing the problem is increasing its greatness and decreasing our ability to move forward. Many people increase the problem so much that it wins, without often existing.

Why not change the vibe of the situation? The first step towards change is to follow this old saying to the letter: “don’t tell God you have a big problem. Tell the problem that you have a great God who solves everything”.

The second step is to change the way of looking at the problem. It will no longer be a problem but a challenge. You will have challenges to overcome. With each victory you will be the hero of your own journey, on the way to achieving a dream. Isn’t it grander to say you have challenges to overcome than to talk about problems? Be your hero and use your superpowers. Win with your faith, persistence and intelligence.

The third and final step is knowing that the biggest challenge or enemy to overcome is yourself. Master yourself and no one will beat you. These are the three steps I show my coaching and personal mentoring clients. The biggest enemy is within us and in our magnifying glass of problems. Or rather, challenges. Change the focus and you will change the world. It just depends on you.

But remember. Decide if 2022 will be your year of troubles or your year of challenges.
