What is your form of expression in the world: yin or yang?

We live in a Universe of polarities: yin and yang. All events, on the various planes of life, have these two genders contained: yin or female and yang or male and this has nothing to do with sex. Gender comes from the Latin to generate, to procreate, to produce. It is important not to confuse masculine and feminine energies with masculine and feminine, because the two energies are always contained in the same sex; we all bring these two life forces.

Yang energy has to do with the western slice of the planet and yin with the eastern one. The great task of these two energies is creation, because the meeting of these two energies is necessary for the generation of life. All energy that exists in the Universe is polarized between masculine and feminine, which are complementary forces, one does not exist without the other.

Yang or masculine energy is essentially objective, outgoing, strong, direct, assertive and aggressive. It is an energy that uses force to control, sometimes to subdue and dominate, especially when it feels threatened. It is an energy that uses the mind to plan and the will to accomplish. They usually react in a mental way, without “emotionalism” or drama.

We can call yang or male force the Sun, the hot, the male, the active, the Light, the hard, the heavy, the dry, the dense, the tropical climate.

The fire signs, Aries, Leo and Sagittarius, as well as the air signs, Gemini, Libra and Aquarius are yang signs, that is, they use the masculine force to express themselves in the world.

Yin or feminine energy is essentially subjective, receptive and adaptive. The yin personality type is holistic, accepting life as it is, no impositions, no struggle, simply adapting to situations. It is a personality that does not fight to impose its will, because it has a very clear notion of the whole and the various parts that make up this whole. They usually react instinctively, emotionally, often with violence and anger.

We can call the Moon, the cold, the female, the passive, the soft, the dark, the light, the wet, the yin or feminine force.

The earth signs Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn, as well as the water signs Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces use the yin force to express themselves in the world.

Not necessarily a person who has the sun sign in Aries, for example, expresses himself through yang energy, fire. Unless it has more points in this element or in the air element. If he has a water or earth ascendant and more points (planets, ascendant and moon) in these two elements, that person may have the Sun in Aries, but his expression is feminine or yin. Therefore, the sun sign alone does not determine whether a person most strongly possesses yin or yang energy as an expression.
