Psalms to Thank God for Thanksgiving

My shield is from God, who saves the upright in heart. to every day. If man is not converted, God will sharpen his sword; he has already drawn his bow, and is ready. And already prepared for him deadly weapons; and he will set his fiery arrows into action against the pursuers. Behold, he is in pangs of wickedness; he conceived works, and produced lies. He dug a well and made it deep, and it fell into the pit that he made. His work will fall on his head; and his violence shall descend upon his own head. I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness, and I will sing praises to the name of the Most High Lord.”

Psalm 23

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. In green pastures he makes me lie down, and he leads me by quiet waters. He restores my strength. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. a valley of darkness and death, I will fear no danger, for you are with me; your rod and your staff protect me. You prepare a feast for me in the sight of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil and making my cup runneth over. I know that goodness and faithfulness will accompany me all the days of my life, and I will return to the house of the Lord as long as I live.”

Psalm 41

“Blessed is he that takes care of the poor; the Lord will deliver him in the day of evil. The Lord will deliver him, and keep him alive; he will be blessed on earth, and you will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. will sustain him on his sickbed; thou shalt restore him from his bed of sickness. Psalm 46

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, and though the mountains fall into the midst of the seas. Though the waters roar and foam, though the mountains are shaken by her wildness. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place of the dwellings of the Most High. God is in the midst of it; it will not be shaken; God will help it from the dawn of day. shake; he lifts up his voice, and the earth melts. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Come, behold the works of the LORD, the desolations that he has made in the land. wars to the ends of the earth; break the bow and cut the spear; burn the chariots in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God; the God of Jacob is our refuge.”

Psalm 75

“To you, O God, we glorify, to you we give praise, for your name is near, your wonders declare it. When I occupy the appointed place, I will judge righteously. The earth and all its inhabitants are dissolved, but I have strengthened their pillars (Selah.) I said to the foolish, Be not mad, and to the wicked, Lift not up your forehead; Lift not up your haughty forehead, nor speak stiff-necked: for neither from east, nor from west, nor from the desert come exaltation. But God is the Judge: he slaughters one, and another exalts. Psalm 91

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 150

“Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in the firmament of his might. Praise him for his mighty works; praise him according to the excellency of his greatness. Praise him with the sound of a trumpet; praise him with the psaltery and the harp. Praise him with the tambourine and the dance, praise him with stringed instruments and with organs. Praise him with loud cymbals, praise him with loud cymbals. Lord. Praise the Lord.”
