Prayer for the Siege of Jericho breaks down walls and frees

We always have a lot to teach and learn in this life. Teaching and learning is a positive exchange that makes people grow and evolve.

I always learn a lot from friends, students and clients I serve. In the exchange of ideas, there is always interesting information to compute and pass on to other people.

In Holistic Coaching, one of the jobs I do, I guide my client to succeed in life through pattern change and unblocking, I always pass on a series of information and techniques that each client must perform according to the process that the person is experiencing.

In one of the sessions I had with my client Lua, she told me that she had gone to mass and that that day she had said the Prayer for the Siege of Jerico and was feeling very well.

As I didn’t know the prayer, I asked to explain what it was used for. Moon words:

“For deliverance. To break down the walls around us that hold or block us.”

Living and learning. How many times have I guided clients and people with liberation techniques and negative mental pattern changes that hinder life, and I got a magnificent gift from the Moon to pass on to other people:

Prayer for the Siege of Jericho to tear down the walls that prevented the people of Israel from walking in search of the Holy Land.

The Siege of Jericho is a seven-day, seven-night campaign of prayer before Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament. His earliest inspiration is found in chapter 6 of the book of Joshua. The sacred text tells us that before reaching the promised land, the people of Israel found themselves facing the great walls of Jericho, which prevented them from continuing their journey.

Obeying the voice of God, Joshua, successor of Moses and leader of the people, invited the Israelites to pray for seven days and seven nights around the walls of Jericho, with the Ark of the Covenant in front of them, a sign of the presence of God who walks with his people.

Joshua and the Israelites believed in the divine promise that on the seventh day during the seventh round the walls would fall and they would achieve victory, which in fact happened because the Lord is faithful and keeps his promises. In our days, we place ourselves before Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament and confident in the power of prayer, we ask Him to break down the walls that prevent us from taking possession of a holier and happier life.

This is a prayer, full of psalms and other very strong prayers to break down barriers, walls and fears that hinder our lives.

Do it for seven days straight. It is a complete and very efficient prayer.

Fearlessly tear down its walls.

CREED

I believe in God the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. Who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit. He was born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into the mansion of the dead. He was resurrected on the third day. He ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty, from whence he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, in the Holy Catholic Church, in the communion of saints, in the forgiveness of sins, in the resurrection of the flesh, in eternal life. Amen.

PRAYER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send your Spirit and everything will be created and you will renew the face of the earth. O God, who instructed the hearts of your faithful with the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that we may rightly appreciate all things according to the same spirit and always enjoy his consolation. Through Christ our Lord Amen.

1st Reading:

According to Saint Paul’s letter to Ephesians 6, 10-20:

Finally, let us strengthen ourselves in the Lord, by his sovereign power.

Let us put on the armor of God, that we may resist the wiles of the devil.

For it is not against men of flesh and blood that we have to fight, but against principalities and powers, against the princes of this dark world, against the spiritual forces of evil (spread) in the air.

Let us, therefore, take up the armor of God, that we may endure in evil days, and stand steadfast in the discharge of our duty.

Let us be alert, our waists girded with truth, our bodies clothed with the breastplate of righteousness, and our feet shod with readiness to proclaim the Gospel of peace.

Above all, let us embrace the shield of faith, with which we can quench the fiery darts of the Evil One.

Let us finally take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, that is, the Word of God.

Let us intensify our invocations and supplications.

Let us pray in every circumstance, for the Spirit, in which he perseveres in an intense vigil of supplication for all Christians.

And let us also pray for ourselves, that we may boldly proclaim the mystery of the Gospel, of which we are ambassadors, prisoners.

And that we know how to proclaim it publicly, and with confidence, as is our duty!

2nd Reading:

According to the letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians: 11 Cor 10, 3-7:

For though we live in the flesh, we do not militate according to the flesh.

The weapons with which we fight are not carnal. They are mighty in God, able to pull down fortifications.

We do away with every reasoning and every pride that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we captivate every thought and bring it down to obedience to Christ.

We are also ready to punish all the disobedient, as soon as your obedience is perfect.

You judge things by their appearance! Let him who boasts that he belongs to Christ, consider that as he is Christ’s, so are we.

3rd Reading:

According to Psalm 90:

We who dwell under the protection of the Most High, who dwell in the shadow of the Almighty, say to the Lord: You are our refuge and our citadel, our God in whom we trust.

It is he who will deliver us from the snare of the hunter and from the noxious pestilence.

He will cover us with his feathers; under his wings we will find refuge.

Your faithfulness will be a shield of protection for us.

We will not fear the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the daylight, nor the pestilence that spreads in darkness, nor the evil that rages at noon.

A thousand men fall to our left and ten thousand to our right: we will not be hit. But we will see with our own eyes, we will behold the punishment of sinners, for the Lord is our refuge.

We chose, for asylum, the Most High.

No evil will come to us, no scourge will come to our tent, because he commanded his angels to guard us in all our ways.

They will support us in their hands, so that we will not stumble against a stone.

On serpent and viper we will walk, we will trample lion and dragon underfoot.

Because he has joined me, I will deliver him; and I will protect them, for they know my name.

When they call upon me, I will answer them; in tribulation I will be with them.

I will deliver them and cover them with glory.

They will be favored with long days, and I will show them my salvation.

4th Reading:

Luke 1, 46-55 (Magnificat)

“My soul glorifies the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, because he has looked upon his poor handmaid.

For this reason, from now on, all generations will call me blessed, because he who is mighty and whose name is Holy has done wonders for me.

His mercy extends from generation to generation on those who fear him. He manifested the power of his arm: he disconcerted the hearts of the proud. He has brought down the mighty from their thrones and exalted the lowly.

He satiated the needy with goods and sent the rich away empty.

He has welcomed his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, as he had promised our fathers, for Abraham and his descendants forever.”

Prayer for the Fall of the Wall of Jericho

God the Father, in the name of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, I ask that the power you gave to Joshua and his companions on the walls of Jericho, be given to me and to those who pray this prayer:

Lord Jesus, I ask you to break down the walls of plagues, pronounced by mouth or by contamination, in relation to our ancestors and in the present day;

Lord Jesus, I ask you to break down all the walls of the curses coming from our ancestors and today;

Ruin comes upon them suddenly. net prepared for themselves; let them themselves fall into the pit which they have dug. Then my soul will rejoice in the Lord, and be glad in his help.”

(vs.1.4-9).
