Pray to conquer your own home

A survey I read last year showed that the number of Brazilians who already have their own home is increasing. However, there is still a portion that seeks to get out of rent and have their own property.

To everyone who has already managed to pay or is still paying off their properties, congratulations on the courage, planning and investment to have your own home. Only those who have gone through the phase of looking for their own property know how difficult and even sacrificing it is to be able to pay the installments.

For those who want to have their own property to live in and haven’t been able to, don’t be discouraged. Everything is a matter of wanting, planning and working to conquer. Keep an eye out for funding and keep an amount for the down payment.

There are no miracles. There is work, savings, investment and planning. But those who wait and work certainly reach their own home.

But who believes he will get his own house, prayers can help a lot. Discover the story of Santa Ifigenia, the protector of the house.

The story tells that the young Ethiopian princess, Iphigenia, converted to Christianity after hearing the preaching of Saint Matthew himself, provoked the hatred of the priests of the kingdom. These convinced the Emperor Aegipus to hand over his daughter Iphigenia to sacrifice at the stake to appease the wrath of the pagan gods and with promises of immortality to the king. With her faith, Iphigenia invoked Jesus, who sent an angel to save her from being devoured by the flames of fire and took her to the royal palace.

That same day, his brother, Prince Efranius, became seriously ill and died. He was resurrected by the hands of St. Matthew. Then the king allowed the preaching of the Gospel throughout Ethiopia.

Iphigenia founded a monastery and, invoking Jesus, saved him from the fire caused by Prince Hitarch who did not accept her refusal to marry him.

That’s why her image carries a house in her hands and is recognized as the patron saint of people who seek the salvation of their homes and fight for the acquisition of a home of their own.

Prayer to Saint Iphigenia to ask for her own house

We implore You, O Lord, to grant us the forgiveness of our sins through the intercession of Saint Iphigenia, virgin and martyr, who was always pleasing to You, for her eminent chastity and for her profession of all virtues. Amen.

O illustrious virgin and martyr, Saint Ephigenia, keep me and keep me prostrate before the throne where the Holy Trinity placed her and where else you will please.
