Pray for Good Friday and Easter

In this unusual Lent, the Catholic world undergoes a great change of supreme command. When on February 11th Pope Benedict XVI announced that for health reasons he would resign his papacy, the Christian world began a silent but salutary revolution to choose a new leader.

The entire world, Catholic or not, then kept an eye on the news that came from the Vatican from that day onwards. Who would be the new Pope? Which Cardinals would be most prepared to assume the Pontificate? What directions in the world will the Catholic Church take from now on?

What was known is that it was necessary to change. That the Church needs “new blood” to make a transformation, even if no one has said anything yet. It was also known that in Holy Week the new Pope would already be chosen and actively participating, because in this period we have a fresh start, renewal, moral and spiritual growth for Christians. Therefore, a period of great concentration and Christian egregore.

On March 13 we have the choice of the new ruler: Pope Francis, the first Jesuit to assume the throne of Peter. With his humility, good humor and common sense, Pope Francis, who “came from the end of the world”, or rather Argentina, the first Latin Pope, is slowly showing the transformations he can make in the modern Church.

And I take the opportunity to share a Prayer that I found to say on these holy days: Good Friday, Hallelujah Saturday and Easter, to strengthen the work of Pope Francis and the strength of Christianity in the world.

Prayer for Good Friday and Easter

O Risen Christ, conqueror of death, by your life and your love, you revealed to us the face of the Lord.

Through your Easter you united Heaven and Earth, and the encounter with the love of God you allowed us all.

Through you, Risen One, the children of light are reborn to eternal life, and the doors of the kingdom of heaven are opened for those who believe in your word.

From You we receive the life that You possess in fullness, for our death was redeemed by Your resurrection, our life rises again and is illuminated now, today and forever.

Return to us, O our Easter, Your revivifying countenance and allow that, through listening to Your Good News, we may be renewed, in joy and love, by attitudes of resurrection and reach grace, peace, health and happiness for you to cover us with love. and immortality.

With God and Jesus now life is eternal, we take this moment to celebrate Your Glory, Your Passion and the opening of Heaven to all of us believers in Your word of hope and love.

To Thee, ineffable sweetness and our eternal life, Thy power and Thy love reign among us now and for ever and ever.

May Your word be the joy of all who, in meeting with renewed faith, celebrate Jesus risen in glory to Your name.
