Learn a prayer for times of despair

There are times in people’s lives when things go so wrong, that we want to disappear from this planet and never come back. I’m not talking about being a coward and running away from life’s responsibilities or facing problems and difficult times. Quite the opposite. I have always affirmed and affirm that we have to face our ghosts and solve them, without fear and with the certainty that we are doing our best to solve the problem or negative fact that hinders our lives.

But there are moments when, no matter how much we do something, it seems that nothing goes right, nothing happens or we have no results from our actions. It seems that the whole world is against us or turns its back on us. We feel alone, helpless, without ground and without strength to continue. And as the saying goes: “if you run, the bug catches, if you stay, the bug eats”.

We look around and see no way out or help. We look for solutions within ourselves and only listen to our confused and desperate mind. Fear begins to take over our thoughts. Despair begins to dominate attitudes and ideas. Millions of “idiot” ideas begin to boil in our heads. Disappear, run away or disappear until the situation calms down and the solution comes.

You can even run away from problems. But, they will go with you or they will wait for you to return to solve them. So don’t run away. Face them with courage and determination. Do everything possible and impossible to solve them. The solution comes, if you take it easy and ask for the right help.

Ask God for help if no one wants to help you. God will give the answers or send the right solution and/or help. Trust and have faith. Remember, “Never tell God you have a big problem. Tell the problem you have a Big God.”

Below I put a prayer for desperate moments.

Prayer of the Desperate

Almighty God, help me in this hour of distress and despair.

Intercede for me in this hour of total despair!

For charity, Lord, deliver me from these obtuse thoughts, which hurt my soul and make me want to commit foolishness.

I answered my request (order now, with great faith).

Help me to get through these difficult times, protect me from everyone who could harm me.

Protect my family and all my loved ones, including those people I don’t know and especially those I don’t sympathize with.

I answered my request urgently, out of charity. Give me back peace and tranquility.

I will be grateful for the rest of my life, and I will take your name and your word to all who have faith. Amen!
