I don’t feel so happy, now what? – GOOD SHAPE

Happiness is that junction of pleasurable feelings it’s from well-being. However, it is extremely important to emphasize that no one can be happy all the time. People can be very optimists, positive and find ways to experience happiness. But we all go through tough times!

What I believe is the best part of this journey is that we can change our behaviors It is thoughts so that we can live a happier life! We managed to shape the way we act in certain situations and managed to change our perspective to focus on the goodand not in negative.

Did you know that our brain has a negativity bias, which makes most people tend to remember and perceive only the negative?! So it is! And this can be shaped cognitively, through your attention and conscious acts, in pursuit of well-being. After all, the optimism can be learned!

This means that even on our hardest days, we can think of good things that happened. Or else, we manage to create micro moments of positivity, which can generate this well-being for us! (For example: pause and take a deep breath, chat with a friend, look at nature, meditate, drink tea, listen to music you like… small things that make sense to you).

But we cannot forget that there are also mental ilnesess that affect our brain chemically and that they may be making it difficult for us to experience happiness. So, if you’re going through this, or even looking to add these moments, and you’re not feeling any happier, please don’t hesitate to ask for help! Health professionals are here to help people!! Sometimes, medications may be necessary. After all, mental illnesses are also illnesses and need to be treated seriously!

Now let’s move on to our practice for the day: I invite you to reflect on what are the things in your everyday life that bring you positive emotions and how you could add them more often to your routine. Also, I invite you to try to create micro moments of positivity in the next 7 days! Choose small things that can make a difference and put them into practice in your day to day, afterwards, I would love to know how your experience was!

Being happier is also a matter of taking the focus off the negative and putting it on the positive, changing our thoughts and behaviors! After all, what we focus on, expands! So it would be amazing to focus on the positive things and they expand, wouldn’t it?! If you don’t feel as happy as you’d like, notice if you’re not focusing on the negativity side.

It is possible to be happier! And you deserve to be living it too!
