Few still know about this date, but August 30th is National Forgiveness Day.

But why is it so important to have a date for forgiveness? There are many reasons we can cite. The most important thing is the fact that you forgive and let go of something bad, a negative memory or emotion that can hold your life and hurt you.

Each person must harmonize their personal energy to feel good and balanced, so they will have the courage to be happier and achieve their personal and professional goals.

But for many people, no matter how much they make plans or dream of something they really want, whether personal or professional, or seek happiness, it seems that something prevents or gets in the way and they stand in the middle of the way empty handed, without such happiness. or watching dreams sink.

What could be wrong? Is something or someone getting in the way? Is it fat eye? Envy? Will going to church to pray, to the spiritist center to take a pass or to a temple to talk to the pastor help to find out what is wrong? What can be done to change the situation? Of course, it will help even more when the person wants to change what is wrong and seeks clarification, guidance and help.

You can also pray and ask God and your mentors to show you what is wrong and lead the way to healing. But even as we pray with faith and fervor, we seem to have no results or improvement from our lethargy state. What happens? What is the error?

The answer lies in knowing the Seicho-No-Ie, when she explains about forgiveness. Here’s what they say: “When you don’t achieve what you want, despite praying fervently, sometimes there is a hidden mental cause: someone has not been forgiven. When we hate someone, this hatred infiltrates our subconscious and even if we forget it in the conscious, it remains latent. Having hatred in the subconscious, prayer becomes useless, even if it is fervent. Therefore, it is necessary, before praying for something, to pray for forgiveness. Whoever forgives is forgiven.”

I would say more. When we don’t forgive something, someone or a situation, we get stuck in these people and situations that hold us back in the past. Being stuck in the past means stagnation, not being able to progress, succeed and fulfill your dreams. We have to forgive these people and situations to free ourselves, open the paths and evolve. Having the courage to forgive those who have hurt, betrayed or hurt us.

There are many prayers of forgiveness. Below I indicate one that I consider very powerful. Pray this prayer every day thinking about the people and situations you want to forgive. Do it for real. It will hurt. But, free yourself.

Lord, we know what forgiveness of offenses is, but have mercy on us and teach us to practice it.
