1. Ralph Fiennes — Lord Voldemort

It’s the guy behind the diabolical clown Pennywise, from the miniseries It: A Masterpiece of Fear. The English career is divided between theater and cinema. In the last one, it stands out for The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975), Hunt for Red October (1990) and The Panthers (2000).

4. Bill Nighy — Davy Jones

Half squid, half man. This is Davy Jones, villain of the franchise Pirates of the Caribbean. Nighy also acted in the films Simply love (2003) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010).

In v for Vendetta (2005), the masked character fights for freedom at any cost. The antihero played by Weaving is based on the English conspirator Guy Fawkes (1570 – 1606). In the 17th century, Fawkes and his cronies planned to blow up the Palace of Westminster in England. The Nigerian actor is also remembered for the roles of Agent Smith (Matrix), Elrond (Lord of the Rings) and Megatron (transformers).

6. Cesar Romero / Jack Nicholson / Heath Ledger / Jared Leto — Joker

Four actors have already brought Batman’s celebrated arch-nemesis to life. In the TV series in the 1960s, he was played by Cesar Romero (1907 — 1994). In Batman (1989), by Tim Burton, Jack Nicholson got the role.

In 2008, Heath Ledger (1979 – 2008) played the villain in Christopher Nolan’s trilogy. The performance earned the Australian a posthumous Oscar. In Suicide squad (2016), Jared Leto hits the big screen as the Joker.

7. David Prowse — Darth Vader

While actor James Earl Jones was the voice of Luke Skywalker’s father, Prowse was the body.

The height and size of the former bodybuilder convinced George Lucas, who had the Englishman in the first three films of the franchise. Star Wars: Star Wars (1977), The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983). The actor is also remembered for A Clockwork Orangeby Stanley Kubrick (1928 – 1999).

8. Rebecca Romijn — Mystique

9. Ron Perlman — Hellboy

Twice, he took Mike Mignola’s comic book character to theaters: hellboy (2004) and Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008). To become the good devil, the American faced three hours of makeup, which included red paint and prostheses that simulated muscles and horns.

Perlman is also known for the TV series Beauty and the Beast (1987), shown on Rede Globo. For the role, she won a Golden Globe.

10. Warwick Davis — ewok Wicket / Leprechaun / Griphook

Measuring only one meter and seven centimeters and with almost 70 films under his belt, the English actor proves that size does not matter. Davis played the kind ewok Wicket in Star Wars: Episode 6 — Return of the Jedi (1983) and the evil Leprechaun in the elf (1993).
