What is Supermoon?

The term Supermoon was used by astrologer Richard Nolle in 1979 and refers to the Moon being 90% close to its perigee.

The perigee is the point in a star’s orbit where it is closest to our planet. That is, the Supermoon is a “bigger” full Moon, closer to Earth.

There are those who say that the real Supermoon should be 99% close to perigee, as was the case with the one that occurred on January 1, 2018.

Within Nolle’s criteria, however, there are between one and six Supermoons every year. Some astrologers tend to associate it with an increase in natural disasters in the period up to five days before and after it.

However, there is no consensus in the astrological community on whether the Supermoon would really have these effects or whether there is just a full Moon that appears bigger and brighter from Earth, and that depends on the rest of the sky as a whole. Also, like any Full Moon, it will amplify whatever is in the sky.

How to see the Supermoon?

Astronomers advise two times as the most conducive to admire the Supermoon phenomenon: a little before the Moon sets on the horizon or minutes after it appears in the sky, at the beginning of the night. Which would allow you to see it brighter and bigger, due to the comparison that the eyes make with elements such as buildings and mountains.

WHAT IS THE BLOOD MOON?

It is the Full Moon in which a total lunar eclipse occurs, in which this star is hidden by the Earth’s shadow, which causes the Moon to display a reddish color. Hence, the nickname “Blood Moon”.

Despite the somewhat frightening name, the most important thing is to understand that it is an eclipse of the Moon, an event that tends to mess with the unconscious.

Lunar eclipses, such as the Blood Moon, obscure the Moon. The Moon, in Astrology, governs the past, that which is known. Therefore, in the lunar eclipse, there is an invitation or event to let go of something from the past or something you are used to.

The important thing is to understand that there will be a space of up to six months for this to happen. Therefore, the weeks leading up to and preceding an eclipse tend to generate a bit of doubt and uncertainty or little clarity in the events of this period.

What is the BLUE MOON

Despite the beautiful name, it is only the second full moon of the month. The Blue Moon is, therefore, more linked to the Gregorian calendar, adopted by most countries, than to Astrology itself. It must be understood, therefore, as a full lunar phase.

This phase – Full Moon – reverberates what is in the astrological sky as a whole. So if heaven is excited, we get even more extroverted. If there is an explosive and irritable sky, it will be magnified, and emotions will be more evident.
