Wedding dress: Lethicia Bronstein explains how to differentiate the shades of white

Anyone who thinks that to choose the wedding dress of their dreams will only be necessary to decide on details related to the style, fabric, fit or type of neckline are mistaken. The first step is to define which shade of white the piece will have. Yes, and believe me: there are many!

To clarify any doubts, we talked to the stylist Lethicia Bronstein, a darling of the famous. She signed the dress worn by Ticiane Pinheiro, at her wedding to César Tralli, and also the model used by fitness blogger Gabriela Pugliesi, used at her wedding to Erasmo Vianna. Off white

Despite being seen as a contemporary tone, off white is actually the true white for bridal gowns. Lethicia explains: “In pure silk, which is the basis of bridal fabrics, such as taffeta, silk tulle and muslin, there is no such thing as white. So, in fact, brides think they marry in white, but the color is off white.”

“This tone is used in less noble fabrics. So, when the bride comes to me looking for a more white dress, I bet on lace. Due to the composition of cotton in the lace, the white tone prevails, but I use the off white underneath and that way I can achieve the desired tone”, explains the specialist.

Champagne

A good choice for brides who are going to exchange vows at night ceremonies, the champagne has a touch that is reminiscent of gold, recalling precisely the color of the drink that inspired the name. “For the bride who opted for this tone, my tip is to choose a dress that has shine, like satin”, advises the stylist.

For Lethicia, dresses in nude tones combine perfectly with brides who have opted for a boho or vintage look. “The term nude is used when we have a fabric color that resembles the bride’s skin color as much as possible. Therefore, the nude for a black bride, for example, will be different from the nude for a bride with very white skin. My tip is to choose a dress that has a lining in a nude tone and then play with overlays with other different types of lace”, explained Lethicia.

Ivory

Ivory has a slightly more opaque background, resembling beige. “This tone is very elegant and, as it is a neutral color, it looks good on all skin tones”, guarantees Lethicia.

The dusty rose is a romantic and perfect option for more intimate weddings. “I suggest using more fluid fabrics like tulle, for example. This color requires a lot of attention, as the woman cannot lose that unique bridal look. A nice hair arrangement and a neat bouquet can be great resources for this, ”she suggested.
