Say the prayer to bless and strengthen the couple’s union

Be honest with yourself answer: Would you rather go home and know that your partner is there waiting for you or would you rather arrive at an “empty” house and have a lonely love life? Of course, 99% will answer that they want to have a loving partner at home to share good times and bad times, to have someone to grow up with and live with.

It may even be that you are not yet married or not yet living together. But knowing that we have a “firm” boyfriend, the one with whom we make future plans together, with whom we feel safe and more complete, is at least a blessing in a time when people seek only adventures without commitment.

Nothing against the “getting with someone” thing. But spending a lifetime just “getting” or “getting around” feels like a disposable love object. If you live like that, no problem. It’s just not worth feeling jealous of that friend who lives with her boyfriend or complaining that she’s alone.

It’s like I always say: “The human being was not born to stay and live alone”. But please let it be a whole relationship and not in pieces or completely absent. May the couple have a healthy, loving and sincere relationship. May the couple, even after being married or living together, continue to be in love a lot and always faithful to the vows of love. And most important of all: that they are always friends and accomplices.

For couples in whole relationships and with complicity, below is a prayer for the blessing and strengthening of this union.

Prayer to bless and strengthen the union of the couple (boyfriends or married)

“Lord, make us share life as a true couple, husband and wife; that we know how to give each other the best we have in us, in body and in spirit; that we accept and love each other as we are with the riches and limitations that we have

May we grow together, being a path to each other; let us know how to carry each other’s burdens, encouraging each other to always grow in mutual love. Let’s be everything to each other: our best thoughts, our best actions, our best time and our best attentions. Let’s find in each other the best company. Lord, may the love we live be the great experience of Your love. May our mutual admiration and attraction grow in us, Lord, to the point that we become one: in thinking, acting and living together. For this to happen, you may be among us. We will then be eternally in love. Amen.”
