Say prayers to ask parents for protection and blessing

Depending on the age of the children or what they’ve done, their father sees them as boring, late, just picks up and doesn’t understand them. However, most of the time the children believe that their father is a nice guy, tuned in, a friend and companion. But it’s always the boring ones who scold their kids.

Thank God you, son, have a father who picks you up, says ‘no’ many times and applauds you when necessary. This boring, cool dad is the one who shows you what’s right and wrong in life. Or at least, he tries to show you.

In the end, it’s one of the many roles of being a parent. What is the definition of a father? The word “father” comes from the Latin “pater”. This word originally designated every person who gave rise to another being. Also called parent, progenitor, or even generator. It is the male figure of a family that has one or more children and assumes the first degree of a kinship line.

Paternity takes place through biological ancestry or fertilization, arising from marriage, stable union and/or monoparental relationship as a kinship state. There is also the legal possibility of paternity from adoption or assisted reproduction techniques.

Defining as a son, father is our superhero, even full of flaws. But because they are as human and weak as we are, their flaws and weaknesses make them strong, unbeatable and perfect in our eyes.

They are our educators, protectors and limiters. Their “no” is to be heard only once. And if you’re going to question him, you better have good arguments, because he’ll always be right, because he’s our father.

The mother and father together shape the character of their children. If we are here today, we owe it to them. If we are what we are today, we owe it in part to them. So on this Father’s Day, I offer my father and all fathers a prayer for their blessing.

Blessed be, O Father, for the one who shares in your power to generate life!

I come today to thank you for the honor, joy and happiness of having a good father.

I carry your name engraved with letters of fire in my heart.

I am part of your being and I prolong in life the features of your face and character.

The personal differences that have increased in me with age will never be able to detract from the inheritance that I received directly from my father’s blood.

I want to maintain, through affection and gratitude, the indestructible bond of my filiation.

Forgive, O Father in heaven, the sins I have committed against my father on earth.

Forgive me if I didn’t respond better to your desires and efforts. Forgive me if I ever hurt you and caused you to worry.

I can assure you, O Father, that he was always in my heart.

For the profound good that I want for my dear father, reserve a special blessing for him, for all he has done and for the

that he will always be for me.

Prayer for Parents’ Blessing

I come to you today, Lord, to ask you to extend your divine hands over all parents, blessing them. Bless the Lord, the father friend and companion. The ever-present father, who offers his lap and extends his hand, but also the absent father, putting all your love without his heart. Bless, Lord, the father who today receives the hug of his children and the father who mourns the absence of the son who left for your arms. Give him the comfort of gentle longing and dry, with your divine mantle, the tears that flow from his eyes. Extend, Lord, your hands of love over all parents, granting them the gifts of patience, understanding, tranquility, tenderness, justice, Faith in life and in your children and love, much love.

And to the children whose parents are with you, give faith and understanding that parents never go away. They just change places.
