Say a prayer to get over the end of a relationship

One of the worst moments in a person’s life is when the affective relationship ends because their partner asks for separation. There are a thousand thoughts and feelings that run through the person’s mind. Most are trying to figure out where they went wrong or what went wrong for the relationship to fail.

After the first phase of separation has passed, each person must start picking up the pieces and thinking about what their life will be like from now on and what to do to be happy. And the most important thing is to give the heart a chance to find a new love. It won’t be overnight, but it should normally happen.

Before starting to look for a new love, we must put an end to the old relationship. The writer Martha Medeiros once wrote that “to say goodbye to a love is to say goodbye to yourself. It is the end of a story that ended, externally, without our agreement, but that also needs to come out from within us.”

We need to learn to be alone. Stay with ourselves. Roberto Shinyashiki says that “learning to be alone is a need that the individual has to create a healthy relationship with himself. by a garden, feel your feet kneading the beach area as you walk.”

And finally, we should pray and give thanks for the relationship that ended.

Prayer for the end of the relationship

Dear God, today I ask for strength to let go. I know that this experience has already played its part in my life. Now it’s time to move on, but I’m scared. That’s why I ask: give me strength to let go.

Today, I ask for courage to move forward. I know there’s nothing more I can give, nothing more I can take if I stay where I am. I know that Your divine goal has already been achieved and that something greater awaits me ahead. But right now, I’m overcome with pain, and that pain is holding me back. That’s why I ask: give me strength and courage to walk.

Today, I ask for wisdom to forgive. I’m feeling a lot of anger, a lot of shame, a lot of guilt. I’ve been trying so hard to understand what I did, what I should have done, what I should have stopped doing a long time ago. I know that if I could forgive myself and everyone involved, I could get over all this anger, all this hurt. But right now, I’m furious. I know it’s this grudge that’s paralyzing me and making me feel lost. I ask for strength, courage and wisdom to forgive myself, because only then will I be able to forgive others.

Today, I ask for understanding. I’m trying to understand, but the truth is, I can’t. I’m trying to see what the point of all this is going on, so that I don’t feel so much hate, so much fear. If for some reason it’s still not time to understand, please, my God, ease my pain.

Today I ask for the humility of acceptance. I confess that I’m not liking this situation at all. Although I don’t understand why this is all happening, I’m willing to submit. I am willing to accept this experience – only, at this point, my impulse is still to resist. That’s why I ask: give me humility so that I will be more able to accept.

Today, I ask for peace. I beg for peace! At this moment, I pray that the comforting presence of peace will overcome the fear and anger that threatens to consume me. I know that, with peace, my strength and courage will increase and I will be able to find myself in the midst of all this loss. I open myself now to receive and experience peace in the midst of this storm. I want peace to calm my soul. Now, I receive, embrace and welcome the presence of peace in my mind, in my heart and in my spirit.

Today, I stand strong! I advance with courage! I act wisely! I open myself to divine understanding! I humbly accept all my thoughts and feelings and experience the growing presence of peace.

For all this and much more, I give many, eternal thanks. And so be it!
