Problems with love? Exus and Pombagiras can also help

In the many years here, I’ve written several columns for Valentine’s Day. Today, I share with my dear readers something different, the possibility of understanding how Exus and Pombagiras can help in things of the heart. Spooky? Do not be afraid. Follow me.

In Afro-Brazilian religions, the cult of the so-called “left” is common, the Exus and the Pombagiras. Discriminate and misunderstood are, mistakenly, the target of ingratitude and intolerance when they should be respected as those responsible for the hardest work of protection, energy cleaning, and dismantling of demands.

A simple allusion to them is enough to trigger fear and apprehension. A mistake, since they are doctors, psychologists and counselors. They perform several functions that can be summarized in one term: guardians. Agents of light with strength and courage to face darkness (error, injustice, ignorance, persecution, guilt, etc.), fight evil and stabilize astral balance.

However, common sense, shallow as usual, presents them associated with Capeta, dangerously devilish – with cape, trident, dagger, skull, fire and the chromatic dominants in red and black.

reasons? Well, first because they are cultural matrices far from the Western ones, with differences in symbology and meaning. Complementarily, because the spiritual performance demands of these entities require such elements. Finally, because evidence indicates that from a historical point of view, when those who worshiped Orixás were persecuted, the strategy of generating fear could be quite fruitful for preservation and survival.

Having done this brief introduction, which I hope will be reassuring, let’s look at these entities in another light, finding qualities that can be quite useful in matters of romance and passion.

Exus: Incarnates generally had complicated lives, marked by hatred, aggression and violence. Even so, they overcame, progressed and act as agents of light, practicing charity and executing the law in an orderly way, under the regency of the chiefs and in the name of the Orixás.

The Exus, without losing the measure of respect, are playful and cheerful. Honor your words. They seek evolution. Charitable, they work primarily with earthly matters. They can reveal aspects of the male soul to women.

Pombagiras: Almost all of them, in life, were linked to various forms of sexual imbalance. By the law of action and reaction, practicing charity, they evolve and help other beings to evolve by dealing, mainly, with sexual desire, stopping the exaggerations and misrepresentations of human beings, directing libido energies towards constructive aspects.

They like to dance, happy, fun, friendly, sensual, they know the human soul and its intentions. Unfortunately, they are very commonly confused with Quiumbas and considered responsible for bindings, separations and heavy magic, when, in fact, their job is to balance the energies. They can reveal feminine details for men.

So, need a little help? Do you want to balance the things of love? Make the salutation: “Laroiê Exu (or Pombagira), Exu (or Pombagira) is Mojubá!”. You will see that the way opens, the answers assert themselves.
