Prayer to Our Lady of Fatima, protection for mothers

This second weekend in May we have a very strong combination of faith and love here in Brazil. We will have the formation of a very powerful egregore of protection, peace, spiritual belief and a lot of compassion.

We will have a double celebration for Brazilians. On Saturday, the 13th, is the Day of Our Lady of Fatima, one of the most worshiped Saints in Brazil and Portugal. Sunday is Mother’s Day, the day of the woman who filled us with love, affection and light.

Our Lady of Fatima performed a great miracle with her apparitions in 1917, the year in which the world was experiencing the terrors and lack of faith generated by World War I.

Nossa de Fátima made its first appearance in Portugal on May 13, 1917 to three children, Lúcia, Jacinto and Francisca, who were grazing in the hills, when a light appeared over a small tree and the figure “of a lady dressed in white, brighter than the sun, shining brighter and more intense than a crystal glass filled with crystalline water, crossed by the most ardent rays of the sun”. Children change radically after vision. They begin to pray and make daily sacrifices. They report to their parents and religious authorities what happened. Soon, a crowd began to accompany the children’s meeting with Our Lady. The messages brought by Her asked the people for prayers, penance, conversion and faith.

The apparitions only began to be officially recognized by the Church on October 13, when extraordinary and impressive signs were seen by everyone in the sky, especially in the solar disk. The first great miracle of thousands of miracles that this saint would do and does in the lives of her devotees.

Many mothers are devotees of Our Lady of Fatima. They fervently ask for grace and protection for their children, families and their lives in general.

Our Lady of Fatima, mighty virgin, I resort to Your protection against all the assaults of the enemy, for You are the terror of the evil forces.

I hold on to Your holy mantle, I take refuge under it to be kept, safe and protected from all violence, which especially nowadays has affected so many families, victims of assaults, kidnappings, threats and fear.

Most Holy Mother, Refuge of sinners, You received from God the power to crush the head of the infernal serpent and, with the sword raised, drive away the demons that want to chain the children of God.

Bowed under the weight of my sins, I come to ask for Your protection today and every day of my life, so that, living in the light of Your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, I may, after this earthly journey, enter the heavenly homeland.
