Prayer of Our Lady Aparecida for the protection of the family

October 12th is a holiday in which we have a day of many parties in Brazil. We celebrate Children’s Day, Nossa Senhora Aparecida Day, Oxum Day and the Discovery of America Day.

As it is the Day of the Patroness of Brazil, in churches across the country there will be many masses in honor of Saint and in the Basilica of Aparecida many pilgrimages, masses and feasts of the devotees.

Nossa Senhora Aparecida is so popular among Brazilians that it is very common to see the image of the patron saint on the altar of a house or at the entrance of a company or on the work table.

There are many reports of miracles that the faithful achieved in request of Santa. Many children were born under the protection of Our Lady who helped their mothers to become pregnant or were in high risk pregnancies.

October 12th, the date of the patron saint, which many families ask for protection and blessing to their children and family members. On this very special day in Brazil, I wish you all happy holidays and the blessing of our patroness to all of us, children, parents and families in the world. Below is the prayer of protection of the Saint.

Prayer to Our Lady Aparecida for protection

O Incomparable Lady of Conceição Aparecida,

Mother of God, Queen of Angels, Advocate of Sinners,

refuge and consolation of the afflicted,

deliver us from everything that might offend you

and to your most holy son,

my redeemer and dear Jesus Christ.

Blessed Virgin, protect me, my children and my whole family.

Protect us from disease, hunger, assault,

lightning and other hazards that could hit us.

Sovereign Lady directs us in all business

spiritual and temporal. deliver us from temptations

of the devil so that by treading the path of virtue,

for the merits of your most pure virginity

and the most precious blood of your son,

may we see you, love you, and enjoy eternal glory,

for all centuries.

Amen!
