Moon bath at home: get soft skin and lightened hair –

Is there anything better than feeling your skin soft, fragrant, almost velvety and on top of that with very light hairs, giving a golden tone to the look? Now, imagine all this done at home. It’s possible – and delicious – to make a homemade moon bath just as efficient as the beauty salon ones. You will only need to follow the step-by-step instructions and recipes proposed by beautician Roseli Siqueira, from the Roseli Siqueira Aesthetics Center, in São Paulo. Ready for a spa afternoon? Let’s go:

Prepare all recipes before starting treatment

1st step: exfoliation

Mix 3 col. (soup) of honey + 2 col. (soup) rolled oats + 3/4 cup. (tea) of soy milk. With the body wet, apply it to the regions that will receive the hair bleach: legs, buttocks, belly and arms, making upward and vigorous movements. Let it act for five minutes and rinse. “This stimulus, associated with the vitamins in honey, oats and milk, renews cells, nourishes the skin and activates circulation”, explains Roseli.

2nd step: soothing lotion

Make a very strong infusion with six green tea bags and 2 cups. (tea) of water.

Let it cool down a little and spray all over the body. Wait a few minutes for the skin to dry naturally.

3rd step: moisturizer

Mix 5 col. (soup) of pure bee honey with 6 drops of sesame oil. Apply all over the body using a brush and gently massaging. Let it act for 10 minutes. Remove excess with a warm shower. If you prefer, dissolve the honey with the sesame oil in 1 cup. (tea) of green tea so that the moisturizer becomes more fluid and easy to apply.

4th step: application of whitener

With dry skin, apply the bleach* to your legs, buttocks, belly, lower back and arms. If you prefer (to avoid burning or itching) dissolve it in milk. After the pause time for the hairs to reach the desired tone (on average, 15 minutes), completely remove the bleach with warm water.

* The whitening kit with bleaching powder, hydrogen peroxide, application spatula and bowl for mixing the products you can find in pharmacies or supermarkets. It is important to do the allergic reaction test (indicated on the package).

5th step: final hydration

Blend 2 glasses of mineral water with 6 drops of sesame oil and 1 bunch of mint in a blender and strain. Apply all over the body massaging gently. Remove with warm water. “The mint refreshes the skin and helps to inhibit possible irritations, while the sesame is a powerful moisturizer and natural antioxidant, great for leaving the skin extremely soft and illuminated”, says Roseli.

The “golden hair” effect usually lasts for a month, but this depends on the speed of hair growth. Pay attention to hydration and repeat the recipes whenever your skin feels rough and dull.
