the baiana Helen Fernandes graduated in mechanical engineering and started tattooing without great pretensions. She and her boyfriend wanted to scribble on their bodies without paying too much and had the idea of buying a cheap kit to do the tattoos at home.
Right away, she realized that tattooing was not her forte, but the funny drawings ended up being popular with her friends. Some decided to really get into the fun and started asking Helen to tattoo them.
The most wonderful thing is that she recognizes that her work is really rough and that is the girl’s trademark. “People look for me precisely for that reason, they want something in the style I do, because if they wanted something super well done, they would look for another tattoo artist. Quality is not my forte”, he said in an interview with UOL.
And so, kind of by chance, Helen’s ~art~ started to be successful and she shares her doodles on Instagram, through a profile she named Marfeitona. How can you not love all this irony?
