Meet the real-life Luciana

Born in São Paulo, raised in Santos, Flávia Cintra, 36 years old, journalist, had the twins Mariana and Mateus two years ago. She is quadriplegic and one of the sources of inspiration for the author Manoel Carlos to write the story of the character Luciana, in the telenovela Live life🇧🇷 Flávia’s story in a wheelchair began 18 years ago, when she suffered a partial spinal cord injury caused by a car accident. She lost all movement in her legs and part of her arms.

Today, Flávia is an inclusion consultant and gives lectures at large companies on the rights of people with disabilities, in addition to carrying out projects with the government. A talker, a smoker, she has been working with actress Alinne Moraes since May, providing advice on the soap opera chapters, so that the scenes seem real.

“Aline is doing very well. She has the exact notion of the responsibility of this role. He is aware that he is representing more than 25 million people in Brazil alone”, she says. Recently, Flávia separated from her husband, with whom she was married for three years. She lives with her children in a spacious house, full of greenery, in the south of São Paulo. Her mother is a neighbor and she has three domestic assistants. In the following interview, Flávia tells how she turned a chapter in her life that could remain a tragedy into a “turn on top”.
