Lima family: from the harassment controversy to the Big Brother final

Ana Clara and Ayrtongives Lima familyparticipants of BBB18, had a turnaround during the TV Globo program. At first, part of the public was uncomfortable with the proximity of the two and comments about sexual harassment appeared on social networks. This Tuesday (17), however, the two were saved by the public on the last wall of this edition, with 38% of the votes against Paula from Minas Gerais, and are in the final, which will award the first place with R$ 1.5 million. The result will be known on Thursday (19).

The Syrian Kaysar and the first participant from Acre, Gleici, are the other two finalists.

THE CONTROVERSY

In its eighteenth edition, the Big Brother Brazil🇧🇷 cast four members of a family to enter the “most watched house in Brazil” – father, mother, daughter and nephew. There was a vote and the public chose two members to be eliminated. Even with the four family members in the house, the behavior of the father, Ayrton Lima, caused discomfort in those who watched the program, which began in January.

At times, he showed excessive intimacy with his daughter, Ana Clara Lima, which was interpreted by viewers as sexual harassment. The first scare came at the first party, when Ayrton exchanged a long kiss with his daughter while holding a can of beer in one hand.

In another moment, the father and the nephew Jorge Lima held Ana Clara in the pool – with her mother Eva Lima to the side – and, after kissing his daughter’s belly, Ayrton placed his right hand on the girl’s genitals. Afterwards, Ana and her father curled up in the pool while interacting with the rest of the family. All this in less than 24 hours of programming.

In two other situations, Ayrton even lay down on top of his daughter and made hip movements over her. Nephew and wife were in the same bed as them the first time this happened, the second time only Jorge was present.

Ayrton’s behavior was heavily criticized on social media and even the hashtag #ForaFamíliaLima was raised.

DENY FAMILY

The family was called by the production on the second floor of the house, to clarify the accusations suffered mainly on the internet. The cameras had been cut and the conversation was not broadcast.

After returning from the conversation with the production, the members talked casually on the subject, according to the UOL🇧🇷 🇧🇷For him (the program’s management) to have really called, this kissing business must have given something… I’ll just be worried if people invent things about me”, said Ayrton.

Ana Clara also took a position on what happened. “I have several friends who have this custom, but there are people who don’t know, don’t know. Not to say that people are creating a huge frenzy about it.”

Questioned by presenter Tiago Leifert if it was excessive intimacy, they answered that it was “family customs”.
