The guy I’m with now is far from perfect. He’s not the most attractive or smartest guy in the world. But I still chose him from among the hottest male models on the market.

You know why?

Because I still have butterflies in my stomach and my eyes sparkle with happiness every time I see him. Because his touch still makes me melt and my heart races like the day we met.

I would choose him among so many others, because he loves me and accepts me for who I am. He does his best to make me happy. He makes me laugh even when I think all hope is lost.

He’s my choice because he has the qualities I’ve always wanted in a man.

Well, I don’t need a prince charming. I don’t need a guy who’s the prettiest, smartest, richest guy in the world. I don’t need one that’s perfect in every way. Someone who has no flaws and makes mistakes. Someone who will tell me I’m perfect. Because I’m not.

And I don’t need a “perfect” love either—one that can only be found in fairy tales. I don’t need a love that looks real on the outside but empty on the inside.

I want a man who is real.

He doesn’t have to be my prince on the white horse. He doesn’t have to be my knight in shining armor.

It doesn’t need to have a specific look or style. Love and happiness cannot be defined and shaped by one’s physical appearance and social status.

He doesn’t have to give me expensive gifts or take me to fancy places to keep my attention. No money can buy someone’s love.

He just has to be himself. The imperfect itself.

I don’t need a man who is ashamed of his quirks and flaws. A man who always agrees with me about anything I say or do. A man who will never challenge me. A man who doesn’t want to work alone and grow personally and professionally.

I don’t need the “ideal” love or the “perfect” man that the whole world will envy — I need love and a man who is real.

I want a man who will speak his mind, argue with me and challenge me intellectually. A man who will make mistakes and be willing to admit and correct them. A man who doesn’t let his problems and failures break his trust. But he will be strong and determined to get up and keep going. Again and again.

I want a man who will share his deepest desires, passions and fears with me. A man who won’t be reluctant or embarrassed to show he’s vulnerable.

I want a man who believes in my abilities and mental strength and who motivates me to become a better version of myself.

I want a man who honestly loves and respects me. A man who will see my worth and accept me. A man I can always trust and count on for his help and support.

I want a man who makes me feel like the only woman in the world. A man who will show me that I was right to choose him.
