Another way of looking at the likes from other people is by using the notifications section on Instagram. It is the icon that is shaped like a heart. At the top, you’ll see two options, one says “you,” and the other says “following.”

The first option shows you all the notifications that have to do with you. Including people who have started following you, and who have liked or commented on your photos.

The other tab will show you the recent activity of the people you are following.

There you can see everything they have been doing, including the photos they have liked. Typically, Instagram condenses contacts’ recent activity in this section into a single notification. So instead of seeing one for each like, you will see messages like “so and so has liked 5 photos.”

But don’t worry, you can see each of those photos individually simply by tapping the notification. It will take you to a screen with links to the 5 photos, regardless of who posted them.

The downside to this method is that there is no way to search or filter recent activity notifications for any particular user.

If you are following a lot of people, it is very possible that their activity notifications will get lost among all the others and you will not be able to find what you are looking for without investing a good amount of time and patience in the scroll.

Another of the big disadvantages is that it only shows you recent content, so if you are looking for something that is more than a couple of days old you probably won’t find it anymore.

Use Crowdfire

Crowdfire is a social media management application that allows you to keep track of inactive users and users who have stopped following you on Instagram and Twitter. If so, there is absolutely no way to see the likes from another user. But that’s actually a good thing because it means they’re respecting our privacy, and that Instagram is a trustworthy app.
