Have you always dreamed of owning Nickelodeon’s ‘slime’? Now I can!

Now and then, some toys win the hearts of children in a way that seems impossible for parents to understand. When they see their little friend playing with something new (or something that is back in fashion), the desire to try it is practically instantaneous in them. It is the case of slimethe fun “slimy” that runs through the hands, stretches, makes bubbles and lets the little ones create universes of stories with the toy.

In the English language, the word “slime” means sludge🇧🇷 But the stuff sold in toy stores isn’t real slime, and much less toxic, of course. The product gained fame in the 1970s, when Mattel he spread the viscous green material around the market in packages that resembled garbage cans. It was such a success that other companies decided to invest in the idea and put many slime options on store shelves in different parts of the world.

NICKELODEON’S ICONIC SLIME

In 1980, the children’s TV channel Nickelodeon showed his famous slime for the first time during the program “You Can’t Do That On Television“, something like “You Can’t Do That on Television”. On the show, which featured comedy skits, music videos and challenges, preteen contestants who got the questions wrong were “punished” with a mound of green goo by their body falling out of a toilet bowl. THE Nickelodeon created an entire booth just for the commercial version of its famous and unmistakable green slime, with a set that had fictional sewer pipes on the walls and an incredible pool of green slime that caught the attention of everyone who passed by. We’re not going to lie, it made me want to dive in the pool! In addition to the traditional little green pot, the partnership with Asca Toys also made the product available in five other vibrant colors. You don’t even have to win the Kids Choice Awards to test the boogers anymore!

At the fair, in addition to Nick’s pots, slime was also sold by other brands such as sweet toy, with the multicolored product Gelele in versions with glitter, which also stretches and doesn’t stick to the floor. Very fun, the brand’s stand provided some tanks for us to test the dough. Oh! And did you know that the product does not smell like fruit, so as not to be mistaken for food by children and animals? Well thought!

THE Fun Toys created the “Slime Factory”, with all the ingredients for the little ones to create their own slime in their own way. With a lot of shine or a little shine, amazing colors and fun figurines to spread over the clay and create incredible games. Just add water to the “magic dust” and fun is guaranteed!

From zombies to small candy factories, the ArtKids line, from acrilex, brought several clay themed toys, and one that drove us crazy is the Kimeleka Slime, which glows in the dark! The product also doesn’t stick to the floor and doesn’t stain clothes, in addition to being easy to find around the house at night, right?
