Feng shui: ask questions about mirrors in environments

One of the most used healing instruments in Feng Shui, the mirror, is the one that most creates controversy for scholars and consultants when it comes to being positioned. Widely used in the decoration of all environments of a residence to expand or illuminate more, by the Feng Shui technique, certain care must be taken not to harm the circulation of energy.

No, I do not advise placing a mirror in line with the front door or facing the front door of the house. This position is very dangerous, as the mirror will reflect all the chi energy that enters through the door (mouth of the house) and bounce back and expel it out, which can leave the house devitalized. In other words, the mirror will keep out both bad and good energies. The solution is to take the mirror off the front door.

4) If I put a mirror that reflects the dining table, is it true that I am doubling the prosperity of this table?

Yes it’s true. Dining table (or pantry) is a place where all the residents sit down to have their meals and recharge their batteries. “A bountiful table, full of food, is a prosperous table.” Therefore, having a mirror reflecting the table is to double prosperity. To attract even more prosperity, place a beautiful fruit bowl full of fruit or red and yellow flowers on the table.

5) Where else can I use the mirror to attract prosperity in a home?

If you have a window – or balcony – that overlooks a garden or park full of trees or flowers, place a mirror in front of this window, reflecting this beautiful landscape. This will double the prosperity in the house. You can place a small mirror in the kitchen, behind the stove. As the fire from the stove burner represents prosperity, a mirror will bend to fire and abundance.

6) Is it true that a mirror in front of a window is not good?

It depends on what you see through this window. If your vision is of a flowery garden or a park full of trees, this positive energy will be attracted to your home. Now, if the view from this window is a cemetery, hospital, or a dump, it won’t be a good energy to attract into your home.

7) In the bedroom, should you be careful with mirrors?

In a bedroom, whether double or single, the mirror cannot in any way reflect the bed and room as a whole. An exposed mirror in the bedroom will alter the energy balance of the environment and leave people with their sleep altered for the worse. Many people get stressed, sleep poorly, have insomnia, etc. The most common solution is to relocate the mirror or cover it with a cloth while sleeping.

8) What is the ideal position of a mirror for dressing up or doing makeup?

The mirror used for grooming cannot cut off people’s heads when standing in front of it. When this occurs, it is a bad Feng Shui.

9) Can I have a wall full of small mirrors of different shapes and sizes in my house to decorate the environment?

If it’s for decorating, you can. But these mirrors cannot be in front of the front door of the house, nor can they be used for the person to get ready, as in a closet.
