Are you a good example for your child?

Ever heard the saying “do as I say, not as I do”? Yeah, he’s more true than you realize. What’s the use of asking your child to keep it down if you yell at him all the time? How can a boy become a man who respects women if at home he sees his father humiliating his mother because the food is not to his liking?

Nobody needs to be perfect, but whoever is responsible for the formation of a human being needs to review their own attitudes all the time. “Parents are the great role models for their children. The disparity between speech and attitudes causes anguish and insecurity in children”, explains psychologist Camila Muylaert, from São Paulo. Whoever says one thing and does another loses the authority of a mother or father. When you have to say no well, it will be more difficult to be taken seriously.
