20 things you should try doing alone

It sounds like an old cliché, but the truth is that we need to learn to be alone. Enjoy our own company, give more voice and power to your desires, without worrying about someone else. And like experiences, it’s all worth it, at least once, isn’t it?

1. Go to that restaurant you want so much.

Truth be told: it’s very annoying to need company, to organize agendas and set schedules to get to know the place that opened right next to your house. That thought of “how sad to eat alone” can, very well, turn into “wow, what a treat, she manages her life the way she wants!” in a matter of seconds. And you will never regret simply doing what you wanted, without anyone’s opinion.

2. Travel to your dream destination.

It’s that simple: plan, buy and go! You don’t have to wait for anyone to see the best date, have to stay in places you didn’t want to, visit spots that don’t interest you and end up spending money on something that wasn’t exactly your desire. And you can still stay in that hostel you loved, sharing a bathroom without drama and meeting interesting people. Who wouldn’t?

You know when you have a ~slash~ day at work, you’re tired, but you don’t want to go home and stare into space? At the same time, all your friends have plans and/or don’t feel like it – and so, you decide to go it alone. No one will judge you, my friend, stay calm! People are more concerned about themselves than others.

It could be that your ~vibe~ is electronic music, while all your friends are sertanejo or an indie-pop-rock-unknown-cult band that makes a “super experimental” sound, different. And you will hardly find someone to accompany you on this – the advantage is that, when you get there, you can find many other people who enjoy the same thing.

6. Take a ~runaway~ at the weekend to a corner far from the city.

When you live in a metropolis, life can be pretty exhausting. The same scenario of buildings, pollution, work, college and traffic sucks our energy and, from time to time, we need a recharge. And it could be an afternoon in the park, a few hours by the sea or in some secret place full of peace, just yours. <3
