The Ylang Ylang tree, originally from Indonesia and also found in the Philippines and Madagascar, has very fragrant yellow flowers and from them is extracted, through the process of steam distillation, the essential oil of Ylang Ylang, 4 drops of essential oil of Tangerine and 3 drops of Patchouli essential oil.

Because it is considered an aphrodisiac, in Indonesia, Ylang Ylang flowers are still spread over the bride and groom’s bed on their wedding night, with the aim of intensifying the couple’s union and stimulating libido.

However, as the oil is also calming and relaxing, it should be used sparingly to heighten the mood in bed. It is recommended not more than 3 drops in the air freshener.

At aromatherapyYlang Ylang oil is also used to balance the secretions of the sebaceous glands, which makes it effective in acne treatments, in oily and dry skin.
