What’s the secret to fruit juice not getting fat? – GOOD SHAPE

When there is too much fruit, the juice extrapolates in the dose of fructose (fruit sugar), gathering many calories in a single glass. This causes the blood glucose rate to enter a true roller coaster: it rises quickly (at this stage, the organism stores fat) to then descend at the same speed (stage in which the brain sends hunger signals). That’s why you tend to reach for food within minutes of your last sip. So, before abolishing the drink and losing out with a lower intake of vitamins, minerals and antioxidant substances, which bring benefits to the skin and the immune system, follow the guidelines of nutritionist Andrezza Botelho, from São Paulo. “One option is to prepare the juice with the fresh fruit and dilute it with water. It also works to beat the fruit with the peel, whenever possible, and add a root or spice with thermogenic action – ginger and saffron, for example”, says the nutritionist. She also recommends beating seeds, such as chia and flaxseed, to increase the amount of fiber and thereby reduce the glycemic index of the juice, making you less fat. You will also feel much more satisfied.
