What led Fábio Porchat to choose not to have children and live a healthy and passionate relationship with his wife

Topics such as the pressure to have children have already been discussed on the program Papo de Segunda about fatherhood, which even has Fábio Porchat as one of the presenters. Fábio made the choice not to be a father a long time ago, but now that he is married and in love, the reasons are very different.

O awesome.club recalls the journey of Fábio Porchat until his marriage to Nataly Mega and the reasons that led him to decide to continue not having children.

It was thanks to an invasion of Programa do Jô that Fábio Porchat had his debut on TV

Fábio Porchat’s first appearance on TV was in 2002, at the age of 18, when he was still a college student and went with his class to watch the recording of the Jô Soares show. The young Fábio was already a fan of comedy and had come up with a text inspired by the series Os Normais, which he presented to his friends. So he had a crazy idea: he scribbled a note to Jô asking him to present his text and, during a break in the recordings, he invaded the stage and handed it to the presenter.

To your surprise, it worked. Jô decided to give the boy an opportunity and called Fábio to the stage, where he presented his text and drew laughter from the audience and from Jô himself — you can see this historic moment on this page. He felt so good about making people laugh that he made a decision: “This is what I want for my life. The following week I had already dropped out of college”.

With the support of his parents, he moved to Rio de Janeiro in search of an acting career. There, he went to live with an aunt and entered a theater school, where he met Paulo Gustavo. They acted together in a play for a year and then got a job as a writer at Zorra Total. From then on, Fábio never stopped working: in addition to being an actor and comedian, he is a producer, screenwriter, director and presenter.

Having found his vocation, Fábio started working on several projects, often at the same time.

Fábio is a self-confessed workaholic, that is, a workaholic. In a column for Trip, he still confesses that he is very anxious, tends to do several things at the same time and that he has to be careful not to run over with so much work. For him, work is fun and even fun, like reading a book or binge-watching a series, is work. And he does several things at the same time: “I’m writing a series on the set, I stop, shoot a video and go back to writing the series. Anywhere is a place”.

So much dedication to work is reflected in the quality of everything he does, but also in his personal life, as he himself says: “I give up my personal life for work. I try to reconcile as much as I can, but work always speaks louder”. Fábio likes control, organization. “Even my free time is on my schedule! Now, when something doesn’t turn out the way I thought it would, it pisses me off to the core,” the actor says.

Being someone who likes to work a lot, it was to be expected that Fábio met his wife there

In 2012, in partnership with four fellow comedians and directors, Fábio founded the video production company Porta dos Fundos, known for its comedy sketches on YouTube. It was there that he met Nataly Mega, the company’s producer, whom he married in 2017. About the wedding, Fábio left a message full of tenderness on his Instagram account: “It was perfect. Because it was with you. Happy us!”

Even though they are very focused on work, Fábio and Nataly have a very affectionate and understanding relationship.

Being a person who is working even when watching a series, people can imagine that living with him is not very easy for his wife. But that’s not quite the case, by the way they described their coexistence to Gshow. Nataly herself says: “Fábio works all day, he’s always in meetings, so we only see each other at night”. And Fábio explains: “We get along very well, we don’t fight. I stay in the office, she stays in the bedroom, then I go to the bedroom and she goes to the living room”.

And that’s not all, since the relationship between the two is also based on humor, information that surprises a total of zero people. Nataly, passionate that she is, even laughs at her husband’s bad jokes: “He makes bad jokes all day”. Fábio, on the other hand, melts when talking about his wife: “I discovered that I was in love with Nataly when, after the madness and passion, I still wanted to be with her. I think that says a lot.”

Fábio Porchat has such a close relationship with Nataly that he chose not to have children, afraid of damaging the relationship.

Fábio’s decision not to become a father was entirely motivated by his passionate relationship with Nataly, his wife. After all, the actor is afraid that a child could harm his marriage, as he himself confessed in an interview. According to him, “The greatest fear is losing what we have built. We are very companions. I’m afraid of a child getting in the way. This marriage gives me peace, we buy each other’s crazy things. And the son gets in the way”.

Fábio also completes by saying how much he has the opportunity to lead a healthy life, exercising daily and eating well. He explained that, with these habits, he managed to lose about 16 kg and get out of sedentary lifestyle. “I went back to running, taking English classes and having time for myself and enjoying my wife”, he celebrates.

Fábio’s option is not unprecedented: other celebrities also gave up maternity or paternity

And it’s not just famous Brazilians who sometimes make that decision. In this article from awesome.club We show 10 international celebrities who do not intend to have children, such as Jennifer Aniston and Miley Cyrus. One thing that all these people have in common is that they live in peace with this decision and, as Juju said, it’s ok!

Even though they don’t have children, Fábio and Nataly are still a normal couple, like any other.

The first text written by Fábio, the one he presented at Jô in 2002, was inspired by the series Os Normais. The series presents the daily life of Rui and Vani, played by Luiz Fernando Guimarães and Fernanda Torres. They form a couple who fight a lot, get into the most varied misunderstandings and confusions, but who, in the end, love each other and consider themselves a normal couple.

Incidentally, most of the episodes are a reaffirmation of this, for example: Going out with friends is normal, Stress is normal, Mistrust is normal, Especially normal and so on. There are so many issues experienced by couples all over Brazil that even the theme of fatherhood was addressed in the episode Having children is normal, in which Rui wants to have one, but Vani doesn’t.

In any case, the fact of deciding not to have them makes the couple Fábio and Nataly a normal couple like any other, since, above all, it is a couple that loves each other. The comedian is serious when it comes to what Nataly means to him: “She recharges my battery — I even feel it physically. When I lie down next to her and lean against her, I feel my body doing ‘vomp, vlum, vlum’, really recharging! I say: ‘Wow, what a good thing, what a good feeling!’”

And what about you, do you know any couples who chose not to have children? We’d love to hear this story and how they live, so let us know in the comments!
