What is a family constellation, therapy offered free of charge at SUS –

Do you know when something (“I love my job, but I can’t stand my boss, my role or my colleagues”) or someone (“I only remember that my ex exists when I look at his social networks”) is doing you harm, but only you don’t see it? Putting yourself in the place of someone who is outside the situation is the purpose of therapy family constellation so that you can “see” what is getting stuck (and weighing you down) in your life.

Included this year in the menu of alternative SUS practices (Sistema Único de Saúde), the technique helps to understand and solve past or current, family or professional problems. How it works: if you are the constellated (patient), choose, among the volunteers, who will represent you and your problem (money, work, food…) or social group – more or less as it happens in psychodrama sessions.

The constellator (therapist) guides the “actors” to interpret their story according to what they feel at the moment – ​​nothing is arranged beforehand. “The objective is that, when watching the representation of your life, you can identify the cause of the complaint brought to the session and, with that, be able to overcome or solve blockages, traumas and troubles”, explains the holistic therapist and constellator Theodora Passos, from Santos (SP).

According to her, the chances that you leave the session resolved (“On second thought, I’m going to change jobs”) or at least more trusting (“It makes no sense to follow my ex on Facebook anymore”) are big!
