Rich in fiber and low in calories, seaweed is filling without making you fat. Even better: they lose weight, according to a study by the Faculty of Life Sciences, at the University of Copenhagen, in Denmark. “Source of iodine, protein and omega 3, they contribute to the proper functioning of the thyroid and the maintenance of muscles, in addition to combating inflammatory processes that prevent cells from properly absorbing glucose, which favors weight gain”, says Noadia Lobão, nutritionist from Rio de Janeiro. The known seaweed is nori, the one used in sushi. Check out Bella Gil’s recipe to create a healthy snack:

Ingredients

• 3 sheets of nori
• 2 col. (soup) olive oil
• 1 pinch of sea salt
• 2 col. (soup) white sesame seeds (optional)
• Onion powder, garlic powder or cayenne (optional)

Way of doing
Preheat the oven to 170º C. Cut the leaves in four with a knife or kitchen scissors. Place the seaweed on a baking sheet in a single layer. Lightly brush the nori with olive oil using the brush or your fingers. Sprinkle as much salt and powdered spices as you like. Bake for about five minutes, until the nori chips become green and crispy, notice that they start to pucker a little. Let cool and serve or store in a container.
