If fruit prints are constantly going in and out of fashion, why not turn the fruit itself into “clothing”? This must have been more or less the reasoning when they invented the first watermelon dresses, which are now everywhere on Instagram.
The funny thing is that they are not pieces of clothing (thankfully!), but pieces of watermelon cut in the shape of a dress. Someone holds the ~piece~ in front of the camera, you position yourself to look like you’re wearing it, and presto: there’s your photo in a watermelon dress.
The results are lovely. Most are women’s traditional dresses:
