6 tips from Randy Fenoli to choose “The Ideal Dress”

Stylist and artistic director Randy Fenoli arrived in Brazil for the premiere of his new show in Brazil, “O Vestido Ideal: Tips from Randy” and the beginning of the 13th season of “O Vestido Ideal”. Both attractions will be part of Mondays of Emotion, programming of the Discovery Home&Health channel. During the fun morning, the stylist commented on his biggest challenges since the beginning of the recordings and gave specific tips for Brazilian brides who are going to get married on the beach. See below:

1) Wedding dresses don’t match flat shoes🇧🇷 If you are going to get married on the beach sand, prefer to go barefoot and then wear heels to the party. “Sandals are beautiful, I prefer a thousand times to peep toe. When in doubt, opt for a shoe that you will wear many other times, not just at the party, ”she explains.

2) Always bet on an accessory. “If you go barefoot, I recommend wearing some jewelry on your feet, like diamonds, chains, thus adding a personal touch”, she recommends.

3) The setting does not have to dictate the type of dress. “I already dressed a bride who got married on the beach in a stiff bodice, lace, long train and all embroidered with crystals. The opposition was beautiful! The same works if you are getting married in a more elaborate setting: invest in the simplest, dry dress”, says Randy. According to him, there are no rules for weddings on the beach, it is worth using lace, satin, tulle…

4) …Before, however, think about transporting the dress. As the bride will likely have to travel, she should opt for a fabric that won’t wrinkle or crease. Income is the easiest in this case. “If you don’t want to give up satin or silk, make sure you have a protective frame for shipping and someone to take care of the dress at the destination.”

How can choosing the dress and other details be less traumatic for the bride?

The bride is responsible for all her choices. She needs to be an adult and realize that she rules her marriage. When looking for a dress, research references and think about the style you want. Is it something more puffy? Is it more or less bright? Then, when you call friends and moms to try on the dress, explain to them what you’re looking for, what your budget limit is and what your biggest concerns are there. If you think your hips are wide, you don’t want a friend talking about it.

What are the biggest trends in wedding dresses today?

We’re seeing more skin. Cropped tops with long skirts are trending a lot, as are dresses that are shorter in the front and longer in the back. The bride today wants to be sexy, she likes slits, cutouts and transparencies. Sometimes they even exaggerate. Veils are increasingly rare, as many are more concerned with the party than with the ceremony and don’t want so much fabric to weigh them down.
