Video of water that freezes when coming out of the faucet freaks out the internet

The cold REALLY arrived in several regions of the country and, after the triumphant return of the Brazilian snowmen, a surprising video is making people talk this Wednesday (19).

Published on Facebook by the FRIO Grande do SUL page, the video shows water freezing right after it comes out of the tap and falls into a chimarrão bowl:

In seven hours, the publication already has more than 96,000 shares and has been viewed about 4 million times. In the comments, many people guarantee that this is possible given the temperatures in Rio Grande do Sul, but there are also those who doubt the images.

The page did not give further explanations in the post – it just wrote “Let’s wash dishes peopleeee” – and also did not comment on the origin of the video. That is: you can’t tell if there was any trick involved.

On YouTube, however, the Manual do Mundo channel has already shown that this is indeed possible. A video published in 2015 teaches how to make instant ice, without using chemical tricks. It’s pure physics!

The water needs to be VERY cold, almost freezing, and when it comes into contact with solid ice, it will solidify as well. Watch:

And the conclusion we draw from all this is that it is REALLY difficult to wash dishes in the south of Brazil!
