“They are ending our lives”, says man in the sexist video at the World Cup

“We are family parents, workers and you are ending our lives… Those who are playing carnival exaggerate a little bit in the drink and sometimes it goes beyond the point”, declared the engineer Luciano Gilone of the men appearing in the sexist video that became Brazil’s main controversy in World Cup 2018🇧🇷 In an interview with UOL, he asked “apologizing to women who may have felt offended” and amended: “but they are turning a glass of water into a storm”.

Luciano did not stop there and criticized those who are giving importance to the case. “In Brazil we have a problem with education, health, corruption and they are going to do this to us. They are stirring up the Russians against us. So far they have been very helpful, especially the Russians. Affectionate, affectionate. Brazilians are instigating violence here.”

Following the line of social criticism, he relativized the question even more: “It only gained this connotation because it happened here in Russia, but if it were in the favela or at the carnival, it would be considered normal”. Furthermore, Luciano claimed that a Brazilian translated the words “pink pussy” into Russian and that the woman in the video was fully aware of what she was saying.

The man also took the opportunity to say that he has never assaulted women and that he has a daughter. 🇧🇷I never attacked a woman, at that time there was no moral coercion, there was no force on her, there was no silly hand, there was none of that. She was super excited, like a lot of Russians who are enjoying the party, because Russians have never had a party like this.”

Also according to UOL, Luciano has already been the target of a joint operation by the Federal Police and the Comptroller General of the Union due to the embezzlement of money in the bidding process for the City Hall of Araripina, in Piauí. Questioned about this, the engineer said he only gave a statement and sent a print of his criminal background check.

In addition to Luciano, other men involved in the video have already been identified. One of them is a lieutenant in the Military Police and has even given an interview in a report on sexual harassment at universities.
