The squad for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019

You can prepare the crowd, because the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019, in France, is coming. And, this Thursday (16), coach badass announced who are the Brazilian players summoned for the competition.

The event took place at the headquarters of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), in Rio de Janeiro, and featured a special announcement on the institution’s Twitter. A 57-second video was published with children inspired by the players saying who are the 23 names that will be part of the Brazilian team for the Cup. Below the name of the competitors, their position in the team was placed, but without yet differentiating who will be a starter and who will be a substitute.

Among the figures chosen is Formiga (Miraildes Maciel Mota🇧🇷 With the call-up, she becomes the player with the most appearances in World Cups, between men and women. At the age of 41, Formiga has won a total of seven competitions. Before the Brazilian player, who dominated the title was the Japanese Homare Sawalwhich has competed six times in the world’s biggest women’s football event.

For the first time, Rede Globo will broadcast the games on national television from June 7th to July 7th. Brazil’s debut will be on the 9th of June against Jamaica, in the Grenoble. Four days later, the team will face Australia, in Montpellier. And on the 18th, the dispute is against Italy, in Valencinnes.
