The cosmetic industry works day and night in search of new ways to stop the effects of time. Therefore, its motto is innovation, both to prevent and to reverse the signs of aging. To quench the eagerness of fans for hot news: according to a recent study by the University of California, in the United States, the shortening of the ends of chromosomes, called telomeres, was directly linked to less skin support (read: more wrinkles). But do not worry! Researchers have already moved to create products that specifically combat this problem (answer in the photo on the side). Another characteristic of the modern trend is working together with aesthetic treatments, even if they use more invasive approaches, such as ablative lasers, “which reach the deepest layers of the skin to encourage the production of fiber
support”, explains dermatologist Daniela Lemes, from Rio de Janeiro, member of the American Academy of Dermatology. The immediate result can be uncomfortable (redness and peeling), but after recovery, who can resist that smooth face?
