It was a personal trainer friend who warned Mallory Manning that being overweight was close to putting her health at risk. In 2014, when she received the advice, the American weighed 154 kilograms. “I was like, ‘I’m not that bad,’” Mallory told the magazine. US Weekly. But her colleague’s opinion awakened in her the will to move – literally.
That same week, the West Memphis, Arkansas, police department emergency responder began exercising at home by lifting four-pound weights and doing push-ups and planks; at night, she walked the neighborhood streets. But not because she thought it was cooler or because it would help her sleep better – it was embarrassing to meet the neighbors anyway.
She was only able to attend a gym after five months, when she had already lost 22 kilos. Today, two years later, Mallory has dropped 170 pounds. “People don’t recognize me. Even my own father has to double-check that I am myself,” she revealed to US Weekly.

The attendant’s current exercise routine includes working out Monday through Sunday for an hour and a half each day. His great companion Zac Britton, his fiancé, who has also made the scales tip – he has already lost 40 kilos!
On the diet front, Mallory ditched the pizza and Chinese takeout for six servings a day of healthy foods. By the way, another great partner of the American in her mission is the social networks.
