The most said terms among the gay community and their hidden (not so hidden) meaning

Do you know what a ‘posona’, a ‘circuitera’ or a chichifa is? Maybe you’ve heard these words around but don’t quite understand their meaning. If you don’t want to be left out of the conversation, find out with our dictionary.

Asset: Gay who prefers to penetrate rather than be penetrated.

Passive: The opposite of active, in sexual relations, they prefer to receive penetration.

Inter: They are those who do not pigeonhole themselves with a sexual role. They enjoy giving and also receiving.

Guagüis- This is what oral sex between men is called.

Mayate- They are those men who have homosexual preferences, but hide it and can lead a completely heterosexual life with a wife and children, however, they take some getaways to live their sexuality.

Posona- The ‘posonas’ are those homosexuals who behave badly with other gays and also with other women. Attacks can range from pushing to pulling hair. Nobody explains why they are like this.

Circuitera- Style of electronic music that they usually play in gay clubs. Circuitera, it is called those who frequent these types of places.

Chichifa- Person who likes to take advantage of their relationship. Basically they are those who seek economic benefits in exchange for sex.

Chacalón- The gay community calls this way men with a tough appearance. They tend to be muscular and have dark skin. They can be gay, bi or straight.

Beefy- It comes from the word Beef (meat in English) and is used to refer to men who are neither thin nor chubby, but are ‘meaty’.

Bean- They call young gay men who are thin and short in stature.
