The day I found out I love you

One fine day I received a message from my heart. There it said: You are in love. I could look for many reasons to identify why I love you and I found love in you, but it would be very silly of me to try to understand how this happened.

I don’t know if it was the way he looks at me wanting to say everything he feels even though he can’t find words, the way he carefully treats people, or the way he smiles for no reason at all. I fell in love with everything. Even the weird way he gets when he’s sleepy or hungry, his crazy habit of tickling me at the most inopportune hours, or the way he drives and watches football. The fact is, I’m crazy about you in a way I’ve never been about anyone.

I love the way he hugs me affectionately, the long kiss of longing and even the small and quick goodbye kisses. The way he grabs my hand as if he’ll never let go of me and the pride he feels in me in the most public place possible. When we are together everything changes.

You nailed it the way I think I deserved love. And the way you calm me down when you arouse great doubts in me, you answer me with great desires, bringing me indisputable signs of certainty. I love how in you I can find the willingness to face the great things that life presents us with.

One day I found out I love you and everything changed.

Thank you for not making our kisses too banal, but for valuing every pout I give you. I think we know there are a lot of people out there who don’t know what a real kiss means. Why an ordinary kiss we find on any corner after two glasses of beer, but a real kiss is far from being given just for the sake of giving

Thank you for not making our hugs meaningless. You’ve hugged me tight when I needed it. And it wasn’t just once. And you know what, I love it when you tell me I fit right in your embrace.
