I’m tired of caring about things that aren’t important

I’m tired of trying to understand who’s on my side, who’s against me or who’s on the fence for fear of taking a stand.

I decided to get rid of everything and everyone that took my peace.

I have become indifferent to the opinions of others, and I don’t care about destructive criticism, especially from hypocritical, malicious people who live on lies.

I don’t need to prove anything to anyone, I don’t need to be accepted or please everyone. My conscience is clear, because I am exactly what I want to be.

Loyalty for me is not just a word, it’s a way of life, a rule.

My life changed when I just stopped caring about everything that isn’t really important. I didn’t change because of love, or a disappointment, I didn’t change to please anyone or because of anyone’s influence.

I changed because I realized that life was too short to condition my happiness on external people and events. I finally understood that the only person capable of turning loneliness into company, sadness into joy, pain into love, was, and always has been, myself.

I’ve learned to live one day at a time, sometimes very sensibly, sometimes doing everything wrong, because I have too many flaws to be perfect, but I’m too blessed to be ungrateful.

And it was wrong that I learned wonderful lessons about life, about people, about love, about pain, and most importantly, about myself, about who I really am.

I don’t have much, but I have peace. I’m not better than anyone, but I’m much better than yesterday.
