The word oppression comes from the Latin “oppressio”, which means crushing and squeezing. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Lord, I pray for divine justice. Lord, do not let the wicked oppress the upright citizens. Preserve the freedom of all our brothers, and may the Lord alone intercede in our destinies. Father, deliver us from the oppression of powerful men, from evil-doers politicians, from the violence of power, to live in Your peace, with faith and optimism. Amen!

Lord, You see everything, You know everything, even what men so often want to hide from You. Therefore, Lord, today we ask you for all those who suffer in the silence of their hearts, in their lives, physical violence in the secrecy of their homes, psychological violence in the secrecy of their minds, who feel abandoned and alone in the face of your suffering. Lord, you yourself told us:

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor; he has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind; to set the oppressed free, to proclaim a year favor from the Lord.”

He then began to say to them: “Today this passage of Scripture, which you have just heard, has been fulfilled.” Luke 4:18-19,21

Therefore, because we believe that this passage of Scripture continues to be fulfilled, and because You, Lord Jesus, are the same yesterday, today and forever, we beg You for the release of these oppressed brothers and sisters, so often by those closest to them. .
