Pray the resurrection prayer on Easter to renew life

This week we celebrate Easter, a period of strong religious and mystical energy for all of us. The word Passover comes from the Hebrew Pesach, which means resurrection, or new life. The first people to celebrate Passover were the Hebrew people, who celebrated the date in memory of their liberation from slavery in Egypt and their passage through the Red Sea. This same tradition is maintained until today, when the Jews celebrate Passover – which gains a strong sense of liberation, a new life.

For Christians, Easter celebrates the resurrection of Christ, who would have resurrected three days after his crucifixion. Christ was resurrected to a new life with God the Father.

In the Northern Hemisphere, the date coincides with the arrival of spring, when the traditional festivities for the beginning of the cereal harvest are held, as well as the arrival of the new season of the year. Spring symbolizes New Life.

Chocolate eggs and the Easter Bunny are symbols that came from ancient spring fertility rituals that took place in Europe and the Middle East, and had a reference to the resurrection, or a New Life.

Easter symbolizes a New Life. But for the new to come, something must have ended or died. We have to give up what we’ve conquered, tear down what we’ve already built and often lose what we love to make the transition to a new life or a new phase.

This can often mean suffering – or not. When Christ dies crucified shows that to reach the Kingdom of Heaven many times it is necessary to go through bad moments, suffer and cry. It is a time of purification and renewal that very few want to go through. Who in their right mind will want to suffer or lose something they really like or want, in order to be happy in the future?

I believe few. But every day we die, and at the same time we are reborn to a new life and we don’t even realize it. Why be afraid of being reborn, which is nothing more than changing the way you live and think every day?

In the universe and in life every day we are reborn with more energy and strength. It’s just that we’re so short-sighted or fearful that we don’t notice. As Lulu Santos sings, “life is like a wave in the sea”, always moving and renewing.

This Easter, renew. Change your life to a new life.

God, our Father, we believe in the resurrection of the flesh, because everything is heading towards definitive communion with you. It is for life, not death, that we were created, for like seeds that are stored in straw, we are stored for the resurrection.

We are sure that you will raise us up at the last day, for in the lives of your saints these promises were confirmed. Your kingdom is already taking place in our midst, because the thirst, the hunger for justice and truth and the indignation against all forms of lies are growing more and more in man.

We are sure that all our fears will be conquered; all pain and suffering will be mitigated, because your Angel, our Defender, will shield us from all evil.

We believe that you are the living and true God, because thrones fall, empires succeed, the arrogant are silent, the cunning and rogues will stumble and remain mute, but you remain with us forever.

May he protect us in the New Life today and always.
