Pray for freedom from grief and despair

When a negative situation occurs in our lives, we usually move into a state of distress, breaking down our emotions and defenses. Even the strongest person, when emotionally shaken, can become distressed and eventually even desperate.

When we say that we are afflicted, we don’t realize the strength that this word has in our life or in a situation we live. Affliction means torment, great suffering and deep pain. Pain in emotion, soul and body.

When we are afflicted by some negative situation in our personal or professional life, other negative states usually present themselves: anguish, fear, agony, chest tightness, disturbed mind, phobia, torment and despair.

People are blinded by not knowing what to do or paralyzed not knowing where to go. And affliction corrodes our life, emotions and days, without the situation being resolved or it doesn’t affect us anymore.

To free ourselves from this distress and despair, we have to eliminate focus by solving the problem or reason that makes us so distressed. Move on. Do not stop. Look for alternatives to get out of life’s afflictions. Face the problem and solve it. Put an end to the situation. Bury the afflictions once and for all, but resolved. We often suffer from sheer ignorance.

If you can’t solve it on your own, ask someone you trust for help or professional guidance. We often get afflicted for no reason, as there may be ways out of the problem. Ask the divine for help to free yourself from afflictions and hours of despair. Pray the deliverance prayer.

Prayer for Deliverance from Afflictions and Despair

O Our Lady, liberator from scourges, we cast ourselves at your feet with a heart full of bitterness and trust in your help. We are sinners yes, but your children. After leaving the Father’s house, we were led by the superb illusion of building a happy world without God and against God. The evil one inspired man with this wicked purpose and man carried it forward with constant blasphemies. But now this world, far from God and full of sins, falls on us and crushes us.

We don’t have the courage to present ourselves before God, who with our ingratitude we abandon him and his love we despise, thus rejecting his mercy. For this reason, we turn to you, our most tender Mother, our Advocate, with the awareness that we have sinned against heaven and against earth, and with the firm intention of turning away from evil, to find in prayer and penance the path of conversion that leads to God.

Free us, therefore, O sure hope of Christians, free us from every scourge, remove the divine wrath from our homes, from our homeland, from the whole world. For all our needs, we entrust ourselves to your Immaculate Heart, in which we seek refuge in the harsh hours of atonement, strength in the hours of tremendous purification, certainty in the triumph of your Divine Son, that on the cross we have the weapon of our struggle and our victory and the crown of our happiness. Amen!
